Welcome to ZestAgain – Revitalizing the Heart of the Workforce

Hello and welcome!

I’m thrilled to introduce you to ZestAgain, a company born from a critical need within the healthcare workforce.

If you haven’t been closely involved, you might have missed the signs – but our healthcare workforce is struggling. Many dedicated professionals are finding it harder to show up and stay present, feeling overwhelmed by the demands of their roles. For the past three years, I’ve had the privilege of working as an external consultant with over 1,000 healthcare professionals across Queensland and New South Wales. Through this work, I’ve listened to countless voices, each sharing their challenges, frustrations, and hopes for a better, more fulfilling work life. What do I find?

The Heart of Our Work

At ZestAgain, we focus on helping these professionals reconnect with the purpose and satisfaction that brought them to healthcare in the first place. Using validated tools, I measure key well-being metrics like Compassion Satisfaction, Burnout, and Secondary Traumatic Stress Scores. This awareness is a powerful first step, providing individuals and teams with a clearer understanding of their emotional and mental state.

From there, the real journey begins – experimenting with new approaches to reclaim a sense of purpose and joy in their work. Every team I work with charts its own unique path, finding solutions that resonate with their specific challenges and dynamics. This isn’t about one-size-fits-all fixes – it’s about empowering teams to make meaningful changes on their own terms.

Real, Measurable Impact
Over months of collaboration, I’ve seen firsthand the transformative power of this approach. Teams report significant improvements, including increased Compassion Satisfaction, reduced Burnout, and lower Secondary Traumatic Stress Scores. More importantly, I see people choosing to stay in their roles, reconnected to their purpose and more hopeful about their future. For some, it’s the first time in a long while they’ve felt truly supported.

Expanding the Vision

As demand for this work has grown, so too has ZestAgain. I’ve brought in talented coaches to help extend our reach, supporting not just healthcare professionals but also those in education, policing, and other essential service sectors – areas equally in need of support and rejuvenation.

Why This Matters

We can’t afford to lose more of our caring, dedicated service professionals. These are the people who keep our communities safe, healthy, and thriving, yet too often, the systems they work within fail to provide the same care in return.

At ZestAgain, our mission is simple but urgent: to help these vital workforces rediscover their zest for the work they do, creating healthier, more resilient teams that benefit all of us.

If you’re ready to support your team’s well-being, we’d love to talk. We offer a range of approaches to help your people find the fulfillment they deserve at work.

Talk soon,

A new week begins, and I’m starting it with a full heart. Over the weekend, a Zesty reached out to share something that genuinely moved me. They’ve been following along with the 21‑Day Empathy Challenge — especially Days 8, 9, and 10, where we explore listening...

Beginning the Week With Empathy in Motion

As we step into a new week — and for many, a slower public‑holiday Monday — there’s a quiet opportunity to notice how we’re arriving. This feels especially meaningful right now because our 21‑Day Empathy Challenge has officially begun, and the group is already leaning...

Reflection: The Quiet Skill That Shapes Safe, Sustainable Nursing

Last week I had time to work alongside nursing students as they unpacked their placement experiences — the moments that stretched them, surprised them, unsettled them, and taught them something new about who they are becoming as future nurses. The reason I do this is...

Holding Steady When the World Feels Heavy

It feels like the world is carrying a lot right now. The ripple effects of conflict, war, displacement, and political tension are reaching into our homes, workplaces, and conversations. Even if we’re not directly affected, we feel the emotional aftershocks — the...

Nurturing Our Energy: Why Empathy Needs Space to Breathe

Easter Is Approaching: A Gentle Invitation to Pause?

As Easter approaches, many people turn toward familiar traditions, rituals, or celebrations. For others—like me—the meaning of this long weekend is less about religion and more about the rare gift of time. A small pocket in the year where the world slows down just...
