Some weekends leave a mark — not because they were busy or glamorous, but because you spent time with people who remind you what genuine purpose looks like. People who care deeply about their work. People who show up with kindness as their baseline. People who move through the world with a quiet intention to make things better, not louder.
This weekend was one of those.
I met individuals who weren’t trying to impress anyone. They were simply living their values — compassion, curiosity, generosity — in real time. And something shifts inside you when you’re around that. You feel lifted. Re‑aligned. Reassured that the world is full of good humans doing good work, often without applause.
As we step into Monday, I’m carrying that energy with me.
Why this matters for the week ahead
When we witness people living with purpose, it does something to our nervous system. It softens the edges. It reminds us that kindness isn’t theoretical — it’s behavioural. It’s contagious. And it’s powerful enough to change the tone of a whole week.
Here’s what I’m taking into Monday, and maybe you will too:
- Let yourself be inspired by others — not in comparison, but in connection.
- Notice the people who care — they’re everywhere when you look for them.
- Choose one small action that reflects the kind of person you want to be — not perfect, just intentional.
- Remember that compassion is a practice — and every interaction is a chance to strengthen it.
The world doesn’t change through grand gestures. It changes because ordinary people decide to show up with kindness, again and again, in the spaces they influence.
This weekend reminded me of that.
I want to say thank you – to the beautiful people I met and connected with (New friends) who I know I will keep connecting with:
- Ann – I look forward to watching and learning your rewirement strategies
- Marie – I look forward to many more conversations – you and your brain are inspirational
- Johnathan – your courage and bravery for change and the new you will be exciting to watch
- Amanda – your quiet kindness was calming
- Derek – I hope I can be you when I grow up
- Hayley – I look forward to learning more from your book
- Leanne – a new perspective on empathy – loved it.
This is only a small part of the day as so many speakers – so much to see and hear.
Wishing you a week shaped by inspiration, grounded purpose, and the gentle confidence that comes from knowing you’re part of a community of people who compassionately care.
